Personal Training in Berkeley, CA and Beyond for Adults Ready to Build Strength Safely
Lori Cable Fitness and Wellness is built around the belief that fitness and movement should be enjoyable. Not something you suffer through. Lori believes exercise should be something you can look forward to, whether you are building strength, improving flexibility, returning after time away, or simply trying to feel better in your body.
For Lori, personal training is a collaborative process. It is not about forcing someone into a routine that does not fit. It is about helping each person discover a way to become healthier that feels realistic, positive, and even fun.

A Lifelong Love of Movement and Teaching
Lori began teaching dance when she was 15 years old and has never really stopped. Her early experience with dance shaped the way she understands movement: posture, body awareness, strength, balance, rhythm, and flow. Those foundations still inform how she works with clients today.
In 2002, she entered the fitness and yoga industries and found her calling. Lori understands that not everyone naturally loves exercise the way she does, and she does not expect them to. Her goal is simply to help each person find a way to get moving that makes them feel better and to keep showing up for it.

About Lori
Sometimes the most difficult part of finding a personal trainer or instructor is finding someone you actually connect with. Lori understands that trust and comfort matter as much as credentials.
Outside of her work, Lori enjoys hiking, running, cycling, traveling, creative writing, learning new languages, and all forms of dance. She has completed many half marathons, a full marathon, and several century bike rides. She also completed the AIDS LifeCycle, cycling from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money for AIDS research, and has walked the Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile journey across Spain.
If you have goals around running, cycling, or distance hiking, Lori can help you work toward them with thoughtful movement support and training guidance.

Who Lori Works With
Lori works with clients and students of many fitness levels and ages, from absolute beginners to advanced exercisers, from age 10 to 96. Some clients want to lose weight or gain strength. Others want to improve flexibility, feel more mobile, recover confidence after time away from exercise, or simply build a routine that supports daily life.
Her coaching style is patient, adaptable, and encouraging. She meets each person where they are and helps them move forward at a pace that feels safe and realistic.
Support for Injuries, Surgeries, and Health Challenges
Lori has worked with many clients recovering from major injuries, surgeries, and illnesses. She understands that returning to movement can feel intimidating when your body has gone through a difficult experience.
Her approach is careful and supportive. Lori modifies exercises and movements based on your comfort level, current ability, and any limitations that need to be considered. She does not believe in pushing people beyond what feels safe. Instead, she helps clients rebuild confidence and strength step by step.
